A Novel LED Tube Lamp Driver with Power-Factor Correction for Indoor Lighting Applications

This paper proposes a novel LED tube lamp driver with power-factor correction (PFC) for indoor lighting applications. This driver integrates an inverse buck converter with a lossless snubber, and also includes PFC. The presented LED tube lamp driver features high efficiency, high power factor, satisfactory input utility-line current total-harmonic distortion (THD), low output voltage ripple factor, and low output current ripple factor. A prototype driver has been successfully developed and implemented for supplying an 18Wrated LED tube lamp with an input utility-line voltage of 110 V, and experimental results have demonstrated the functionality of the presented LED tube lamp driver and its suitability for indoor lighting applications.
