A Proposal and Implementation of Networked Lighting System Considering Indoor Comfort and Energy Efficiency

This paper introduces a lighting system, that considers indoor comfort security and energy efficiency using IoT data collected by a smart tap and an environmental sensor, which sense electricity consumption, indoor temperature, humidity, and illuminance. The system extracted preference pattern of lighting use from collected data and calculated patterns based on the pattern of the indoor environment and the electricity consumption by time series analysis. In addition, the system reproduced same environment using these patterns for controlling LED lights via Wi-Fi. To test applicability of the system, an experiment was conducted with six participants and approximately 75.2% satisfaction with the system.
