On the Error Study of Surface-Volume-Surface EFIE for solving the 3-D Scattering Problems on Composite Dielectric Objects

Recently proposed Surface-Volume-Surface Electric Field Integral Equation (SVS-EFIE) has been studied for the 3D scattering problems on homogeneous and composite dielectric objects. Compared to traditional surface integral equations, the SVS-EFIE has only electric-field-type of Green's function which reduces the number of unknowns in half. In order to validate the accuracy of the SVS-EFIE for composite objects, its solution is compared against the solution of FEKO commercial solver and the behavior of the error is studied at the junctions of a NASA almond composite structure.
