A Novel Discrete Sliding Mode Approach for Uncertain Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems

In this paper., we investigate the discrete sliding mode control for a class of uncertain nonlinear time-delay systems represented by T-S fuzzy models. In order to eliminate the restrictive assumptions in most previous results, a new sliding surface function is formed linearly with the system states and control inputs. In addition the delayed state was taken into account to improve the proposed approach. The parameters of the sliding function are obtained, and the asymptotic stability condition of the closed loop system can be ensured, based on LMI formulation. Therefore, the most recent techniques such as Wirtinger-based integral inequality and Jensen's inequality were used to further reduce conservatism. Finally, the simulation results illustrate the efficiency the proposed schemes.
