Error Estimation and Methods for Improving Accuracy in Measuring the Parameters of Analog Signals in Digital Electric Power Control Systems

The research deals with analog signals in digital control systems. The subject of the research is error estimation and methods of improving accuracy with the minimum hardware expenses by the example of the power supply control system (PSCS). The purpose of the study is radar data representation using various methods providing high quality of the analysis. The generalized structure of the device PSCS is considered, the PSCS structure based on the microcontroller (MC) is presented. The reason of relevance of developing methods of improving accuracy with the minimum hardware expenses is specified as an actual task. The estimation of error of measurements is performed, methods of improving accuracy by the example of the product PD-300 are analyzed. The list of types of analog measurements performed by MC is given. The estimation of error of analog measurement of the voltage level is performed. The maximum value of relative static and dynamic error of measurement is defined. Measurement of internal temperature of the power supply control system structure of the product PD-300 is made. For each type of measurement, the measurement error is estimated, methods for improving the measurements accuracy are considered. It is proved that the combined application of algorithmic and hardware methods for improving the accuracy of measurement makes it possible to significantly reduce the nomenclature of high-precision elements, while achieving the necessary accuracy of measurement.
