Penetration loss measurement at 300 GHz for building entry loss estimation

Terahertz communication system is a candidate of high speed short range link in the next generation wireless networks. Our organization proposes to build 300 GHz wireless link with optical fiber backbone network. For further investigation into the practical use of these frequency ranges, the propagation properties need to be characterized for link budget design of wireless systems and interference evaluation of frequency sharing. In this paper, we describe the penetration loss measurement at 300 GHz for building entry loss estimation. Penetration losses of several building materials are measured and its coefficients are extracted. By using these measured data, the building entry losses of the buildings are estimated.
