Realization of a Wideband Sum and Difference Network for Dual Circular Polarization

The paper analyze a new type of dual circularization wideband 8 ports beam forming network. The individual units of the array fed with the desired amplitude ratio and phase relationship form a monopulse tracing sum-mode and difference-mode lobe pattern. 90° phase shifter and 3dB hybrid with wideband have been chosen for the design of the network. In order to lower the losses and reduce the interferences, the network adopted stripline structure. It is designed to operate within the range of frequencies band 0.9GHz-2.35GHz. Finally, the network realized ±45° and ±90° phase difference for the antenna array with two simple elements. The average transmission loss within 3 dB and phase deviation of ±10°.
