Comparison of Electromagnetic Performance of Superconducting Permanent Magnet Wind Power Generator with Different Topologies

This paper mainly focuses on the comparison of electromagnetic performance of the superconducting permanent magnet (SCPM) generators with two topologies. The simulations are carried out using FEM and Matlab. The simulation results confirm that SCPM iron-cored stator topology generates much lower power loss with the penalty of higher harmonics and torque ripples.
