Multi-Bistatic Doppler Radar Tomography for Non-Cooperative Target Imaging

This preliminary paper introduces the novel approach of multi-bistatic Doppler radar tomography for high-resolution imaging of a generally non-cooperative target. The proposed system makes use of a single narrowband transmitter and multiple receivers at widely separated bistatic angles, the received data from which are processed by a central processor. We propose a simple signal processing algorithm which involves an estimation of the bistatic angles that are used to populate and extend the underlying slow-time k-space for higher imaging resolution. Typical results are demonstrated with simulated radar data at X band.
