A JSON Based Healthcare Framework for Remote Areas and Emergency Situations

Providing fast and relevant medical guidance/assistance to victims during emergencies or in remote areas, is challenging because time is one of the most crucial factors. These services include searching the nearest hospitals for treatment based on the location of the patient, the number of beds currently available, availability of specialty doctors as per requirement of the victim, etc. that will be sent to the user's mobile, instead of just finding the nearest hospitals. In this paper, we have proposed a JSON-tree based framework, where a user/victim can enter the nature of his/her type of medical assistance needed and send a request through a mobile device. Based on the location and other parameters of the victim, a response is sent to the mobile device of the user. This is done by matching the user requirements with the information stored in the JSON tree and the relevant information is retrieved dynamically from the tree to be sent to the user. The JSON based storing of the hospital information makes it easy to process and provides faster matching, as compared to the processes using traditional databases. The reason for opting for JSON instead of adopting a database is mentioned in the course of the paper.
