Prototype Residence Monitoring and Automation System Using Microcontroller Arduino

Housing is a collection of houses as part of the settlement, both urban and rural, equipped with infrastructure, and public utilities as a result of efforts to fulfill a decent home. To realize a habitable home and guarantee the comfort and safety of the residents of residential areas, at least services provided in the residential area such as environmental hygiene, order and environmental security, special problems handling. This system is built using system development method based on Prototype paradigm consisting of Communication, Quick Plan, Quick Design Modeling, Construction of Prototype and Deployment Delivery & Feedback, while for system design method using UML and Flowchart. The device used is an Arduino microcontroller along with other sensors, as well as using web-based applications for monitoring media monitoring results. The result of this research is implemented into a Residence Monitoring and Automation System with IoT concept based on Arduino microcontroller that can perform home security monitoring, garbage collection capacity and provide early warning in case of disaster automatically, real time, and thorough so expected to increase the comfort and security in a residential area.
