Investigation of in-depth transport and absorption properties of various perovskite materials using luminescence imaging

Photoluminescence (PL) imaging techniques allow self-consistent characterization of 3D transport and absorption properties. They are here applied on various state-of-the-art perovskite absorbers. A dedicated transport model allows to quantify recombination and diffusion processes with a single experiment. On the contrary to the shallow trap concentration, the slow diffusion and long lifetime of charge carriers are unaffected by chemical composition tuning. In the Cs-containing sample, specific micrometric features appear, where we observe a Cs enrichment, a spectral blue shift and a slower PL decay linked to a lower trap concentration. Local absorption properties are also discussed in term of bandgap nature.
