Investigations on Possible Places for Installation of Small Hydro Plants at Municipal Industrial Wastewaters

The paper presents investigations of different industrial wastewaters in Novosibirsk, Russia, for analyzing the possibility and practicability for installation of small hydro plants having the rated power up to 300 kW. Six objects were considered with the initial hydrologic analysis and calculations of energy characteristics. Prospectivity of these objects is supported by the development of the conception of distributed generation in the Russian Federation, therefore some legal and economic aspects on the possibilities for implementation of such projects are also considered in the paper.
