Application of Compensating Conductors to Reduce the Impact of Magnetic Field from the Power Lines on the Main Pipelines

The paper touches upon the problem of protection of pipeline systems for transportation of raw materials from the destructive effect of the voltage induced by the overhead AC power transmission lines. The authors propose a new method of reducing the negative impact of the overhead power transmission lines, i.e. application of compensating conductor, which is quite effective and does not require special technical control being an economical way of pipelines protection. The method of increasing the efficiency of compensating conductor application is also suggested.
