Application and Power of Tests for Homogeneity of Variances

The methods of statistical modeling are used to investigate the distribution of test statistics for homogeneity of means. The results of the comparative power analysis of the tests for homogeneity of means depending on the alternative hypotheses are given. The recommendations on the use of the test are provided as well. The possibility of tests application to the samples that do not fit the normal distribution and analysis of tests statistic distribution in such conditions are implemented. The results obtained should contribute to the correct application of the tests.
