Design of Circularly Polarized CPW Fed Antenna for ISM Band Applications

A wider bandwidth circularly polarized coplanar waveguide fed antenna has been proposed for ISM band applications. This proposed structure consists of a rectangular shape conductor and an asymmetric ground plane. It also consists of a square loop with a gap at the left side of bottom. Another square is also inserted in the square-ring. Due to this asymmetric ground plane, circularly polarized radiation is achieved at upper band. To get wide impedance bandwidth, rectangular open-loop is used. The simulated -10dB impedance bandwidth reaches 3.65% (2.42-2.51GHz). In addition these, S-parameters, Z-parameters, VSWR, 2D current distribution,3D radiation pattern, gain (vs) frequency plot, directivity (vs) frequency plot, azimuth and elevation patterns are also observed. A good result is achieved after simulation.
