Multiphysics Modeling of Matched Coaxial Microwave Thin Film Resistors in the Frequency Range of 0 to 50 GHz

Thermal properties of microwave loads with the different dielectric substrate materials have been investigated. Temperature distribution in the body of the coaxial resistor has been calculated using finite element formulation of coupled electromagnetic and heat transfer equations. Thermal parameters of the microwave resistors with three different substrate materials have been analyzed theoretically using numerical computation results.
