Improvement on WKB solution of parallel polarized waves propagating in slowly varied dielectric

An improved Wentzel, Kramers and Brillouin (WKB) solution of parallel polarized waves propagating in slowly varied dielectric is given by the WKB method and perturbation techniques. The authors' result has hardly been restricted by propagation direction and its accuracy is shown to be better.
