A Miniaturize and High Efficient Quadband Rectenna Design for RF Energy Harvesting

This research demonstrated the technique of voltage doubler application to design a more efficient rectenna for RF energy harvesting. Two dual band monopole receiving antennas are designed which are operating at frequency bands of GSM 0.9 GHz and 1.8 GHz, LTE 2.1 GHz and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz. Four separate harvesting circuits are used for each frequency band and radial stub matching networks are used to provide maximum input voltage to rectifier for conversion. Only one FR-4 substrate is used for this rectenna. The proposed rectenna has an efficiency of 85.7% and dimensions are 120 × 64 × 1.6 mm³
