Secure Transaction System using Collective Approach of Steganography and Visual Cryptography

Network security combines multiple layers of defenses at the edge and in the network. Each network security layer gears policies and controls. Authorized users gain access to network resources, but malicious performers are choked from carrying out exploits. A rapid growth in the E-Commerce market is perceived in recent time throughout the world. With constantly increasing popularity of online shopping, explicitly in the case of CNP (Card Not Present), Debit or Credit card fraud and personal information security are major anxieties for customers, merchants and banks. This system, proposing a new tactic for providing information only that is necessary for fund transfer during online shopping in that way, safeguarding customer data and increasing customer confidence and preventing identity theft. We have proposed a payment system for online shopping by uniting text based steganography, visual cryptography and OTP (One Time Password). It provides customer data privacy and prevents misuse of customer credential information. The method prevents identity theft issue and maintain customer data security. To minimize information sharing between consumer and online merchants and enable efficacious fund transfer from the consumer's account to merchant account the method uses the combined application of steganography and visual cryptography, thereby safeguarding consumer information and averting misuse of information at merchant side.
