Russian Investigations of Troposphere Radio Wave Propagation Over the Pacific Surface in the Second Half of the 20th Century

The paper provides a short overview of the Russian research concerning USW propagation over the Pacific Ocean carried out at the second half of the 20^th century. This research allowed to accumulate the large base of radio meteorological data and signal parameters - such as propagation factor, coherency parameter and others. The research also helped to form physic-statistical models of electromagnetic fields and to design ship borne and coastal electronic means and systems as well as to predict the electro-magnetic waves influenced by the weather and the ocean.
