A New Method to Calculate Cascaded S-Parameters

Based on the observation that a network consisting of two cascaded sub-networks can be considered as one newly reconstructed network connected to a short-circuit network, the well-known calculating method for a loaded network is utilized to solve the S-parameters of the cascaded networks. This method can also be used for the calculation of any multiple cascaded networks. The proposed method does not require matrix transformation that is in the traditional method. The method is also recursive in nature and can be extended to the cascaded system with arbitrary subnetworks and with arbitrary port numbers.
