Nested Slot Suspended Patch Antenna Using CST Microwave Studio

Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) increases productivity and convenience in several day-to-day applications. RFID is a term invent for short-range radio technology used to communicate mainly digital information. Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is used for Identifying and Tracking the Object, by using radio waves to exchange data between a reader and an electronic tag or its also called transponder and it attached to an object. A passive RFID tag is a battery-less tag, which works on the principle of Back-scattering and communication happens only when the Electromagnetic energy is being received from reader to excite the tag. Due to tag has low cost and easy to handle, RFID technology has wide number of applications. RFID tag designed for UHF frequency working at 868 MHz is presented. This resonant frequency is chosen because it comes as Unlicensed European Frequency (ISM) band. In this paper designing a tag where conducting material on both the sides (Front and Back side) of the substrate like a PIFA antenna structure is presented. The important role in tag designing is of impedance matching with help of changing parameters of nested H-slot suspended patch antenna using CST microwave studio.
