Design and Development of a Straight forward Approach to Enable Offline DRM for Android Devices

Spread of portable devices such as smart phones, tablet computers and even laptops enabled a numerous users to access the internet and bulk of digital content. The overwhelming demand of usage has boosted the urge to secure all these accessible contents in order to prevent unlawful access and use of the massive data. Here comes the Digital Right Management (DRM) as a way out which refers various access control technology that are used to restrict the use of property or copyrighted works. This paper focuses on applying cryptography to ensure DRM on mobile devices. Especially for the devices that runs on Android platform.
