Optimal Power Flow in Wind Farm Microgrid Using Dynamic Programming

Having an energy storage system for renewable energy results in power management of the microgrid. The storage equipment helps to match generation to consumption and thus providing energy balance throughout the system of microgrid. This work addresses the control of microgrid's energy by controlling the energy of the storage system. Energy from the renewable sources is stored for further use and by optimizing this stored energy we are able to optimize overall power supply to microgrid. This work proposes the application of an optimal power flow solution that considers the entire system: the storage device, voltages, currents and power limits.
