Performance Comparison of Wearable Antennas for Body Centric Wireless Communication

Body Centric Wireless Communication (BCWC) is an emerging area where communication is possible with the aid of wearable antennas. It is a short or medium range communication system having application in various fields like medical, military, defense, sports, location tracking etc. Body Centric Wi-Fi network includes several sensors located inside and outside the human frame. In these networks, in-body, on-body and off-body communication is possible. Wearable antenna plays a very important role in BCWC. The performance of wearable antenna is a crucial one and can be specified in terms of antenna parameters like return loss, impedance bandwidth, Polarization, Gain, SAR etc. This paper goal is to provide a review on performance comparison of various antenna designs proposed for Body Centric Wireless Communication.
