Prospects of Use Gas Engines on Sea and River Vessels

The state program "Introduction of gas-engine equipment on automobile, railway, sea, river, aviation transport and special-purpose equipment" includes the tasks of using gas-engine fuel in many sectors of the economy of the Russian Federation. In the Strategy of development of inland water transport of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 (the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of February 29, 2016 N 327-p) development of scientifically proved offers and a complex of actions for transfer of power installations of vessels and coastal objects of inland water transport to work on gas motor fuel (liquefied or compressed) is provided. For the introduction of gas motor fuel in the fleet it is necessary to analyze the experience of the use of gas fuel in related sectors of transport and energy and foreign practice.
