Localization Techniques in Sensor Networks-an Insight

Todays Sensor Networks collect and transport huge data to the cloud. The collected data should be tagged to the location for making it more sensible informative. To fulfill the objective, the sensor nodes should be aware of its location and the process of obtaining is named as localization. Localization is a highly studied one, which gained a lot of attention from various researchers, depends mostly on precision, energy efficient and scalability. An insight of various localization techniques, the methods used are discussed and the performance of various existing localization techniques is listed in terms of measurement error. However, still a lot of technical challenges are to be focused based on demanded applications.
