Influence of Electrode Design for Temperature and Pressure Sensing Behavior of Flexible and Bio-Compatible Nanocomposites

In this study, a flexible, bio-compatible nanocomposite sensor based on a multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT)-polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)- composite with completely encapsulation of PDMS is investigated with respect to the influence of the electrode design. Thereby, the resistive sensor output in dependency on the temperature and on applied compressive force is examined for parallel electrodes and interdigital electrodes. Additionally, morphology analysis is done on the sensors to determine the dispersion quality.
