Possibilities of Using Microwave Imaging to Study Suspensions of Copper and Iron Nanoparticles

The problem of the study of the electrophysical properties of modern materials, biological tissues and liquids is an important applied problem in medicine, chemistry, physics of nanoparticles, and other branches of science that require the study of properties and structure of matter. Particularly, the use of ferromagnetic nanoparticles in the medical therapy of cancer requires the development of new methods control their synthesis. Development of microwave control methods and visualization systems can be a promising direction in the development of synthesis technologies and stabilizing of inorganic suspensions of nanoparticles. The original hardware-software system for the study of physical and biological objects in a wide frequency range is created. The system has frequency range from 54 to 6800 MHz and the sensitivity up to 70 dB. Also, the compact microstrip patch antennas and directional couplers for carrying out researches in a wide band range were developed. Visualization and evaluation of the state of the samples was carried out in accordance with measurements of scattering in the near-field zone.
