Modeling of Stock Consistency in the Approach Flow System of the Headbox

One of the most important variables for paper machine is consistency. An important aspects in the design of consistency controller is to make sure that the dilution water added is well mixed with the stock before reaching the consistency sensor. It is possible to control consistency on the basis of either a sample taken from the main stream or by making the appropriate measurement directly in the main channel of flow. Control of consistency in headbox is easy once it is modeled. In present analysis, it is investigated that which known form of model will adequately be able to model consistency in headbox.
