Evaluation of the Interference in the Magnetic Resonance of the 3.0 Tesla Field Next to a 1.5 Tesla Field -A Case Study

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams may experience electromagnetic interference from the external environment of the examination room. The aim of this essay is to verify MRI quality parameters based on international protocols in an MRI machine with a 3.0 T magnetic field located near another 1.5 T MRI room. These results show that images acquired in the 3.0 T were within the accepted criteria of the standards, however it is important periodic monitoring of these parameters with the two equipment in operation simultaneously.
