Abstract:

Dual-cavity optical self-feedback on a monolithic quantum-dot frequency comb laser emitting at 1250 nm reduces the radio-frequency mode beating line-width at 40.67 GHz from 1.4 MHz to 2 kHz. The optical mode spacing can be tuned continuously across 70 MHz.
