High Ionic Conductivity in the Solid Electrolyte Material Rb2Ti2O5

Previous works on Rb2Ti2O5 have demonstrated remarkable dielectric properties with a high equivalent relative permittivity of up to 10⁹ and a high ionic conductivity at room temperature. In this paper, we report a study of the space charge distribution in Rb2Ti2O5 using the pressure-wave propagation (PWP) method. The results show that only negative ions accumulate at the anode, while the cathode is in Ohmic regime. This situation is certainly responsible for the observed dielectric properties of this material.
