Subtleties affecting the exactness of the assessment of the structure lightning hazard

In this paper, the attention is paid to a number of subtleties that are omitted in the standard approach to the problems of lightning protection of building objects. The authors of the paper have tried to show that realigning the lightning threat assessment of objects requires not only estimating the number of dangerous events by the analytical and graphical methods in an individualized manner but also adjusting the level of lightning protection of the facility before determining the value of reduction coefficients of the expected damage to its properties and resigning from the loss relativization.
