Modeling Carrier System Dynamics for Metal-Cutting Machines

Increasing the working speeds of machine-building products processing on metal-cutting machines and machining centers makes it promising to improve research in the field of dynamic characteristics of construct. Three-dimensional models of a multi-operation machine for drilling-milling and boring type have been developed in the CAD KOMPAS-3D environment using specialized application libraries and the own geometric core. 3D models of the carrier system components for the machine are presented, including the corner and rotary tables of the feed drive, the spindle head of the main drive. Based on the obtained experimental data, the balance of the main forming units compliance is revealed. The spectra of common machine frequencies are determined and the forms of the carrier system oscillations for the machine tool are constructed at those natural frequencies that are characterized by a relatively high level of the tool and the workpiece vibration. A study of the machine constructs dynamic characteristics for the case of loading by the cutting force, which is modeled polyharmonic, preplugating the superposition of a useful sinusoidal signal and “white noise” with a normal distribution was made. A procedure for increasing the information content of the obtained spectral characteristics on the basis of the technique and algorithms for constructing spectral windows is proposed. A comparative analysis of the rectangular spectral window and the Hanning window is carried out, and quantitative parameters of the effective redundancy reduction for the processed information are given.
