Experimental Research of Gas Turbine Unit Control Systems Using Simulation Model

The purpose of the paper is to synthesize the gas turbine unit control laws as well as to conduct experimental research and evaluate the quality of obtained control laws. To reach the objective, the article additionally describes the process of building a simulation model of a gas turbine unit in the software solidThinking Embed with the use of a mathematical model applied by B. Vroemen. In the course of the research the authors synthesized three regulators: non-linear, PID (proportional-integral-derivative) and the regulator obtained by means of dynamic inversion. To synthesize the control laws, the authors made a linearized control object model. A PID-regulator was made with the help of a software Matlab. A non-linear regulator was synthesized to introduce sliding modes in the system. As of the synthesis results, the authors conducted experimental research on the obtained control systems using linearized and non-linear simulation models.
