Features of Innovative AC Generator Simulation for Autonomous Power Units

AC generators are widely used in power units of autonomous installations, wind turbines, micro-hydro and hybrid electric vehicles, in particular. One of the purposes of power units is primary motor starting. The results of power unit design are proposed. A power unit has two DC outputs of a different voltage level. The power unit generator has an improved efficiency and reduced mass and dimensions. The considered power unit consists of a squirrel-cage induction generator, internal combustion engine and electric storage device for starting process. The features of a compact winding simulation for innovative generators are described, the same as power electronics and starting torque simulation.
