Mechatronic System of Single-Column Lift with Improved Accuracy of Positioning and Smoothness of Freight Movement

In the conditions of modern mechanized and automated storage facilities, lifting mechanisms should provide increased accuracy of positioning and smoothness of freight movement. To meet these requirements, a mechatronic system of stationary freight mobile (transported in assembled) single-column elevator with electric drive has been developed. Increasing the accuracy of positioning and smoothness of freight movement is ensured by improving both the design of a single-column lift and the electric drive system. The design of the single-column lift is supplemented with a position stabilization system containing stabilizers, gyroscopes, limit switches and position control system for the platform without sensors. The drive system is implemented on the basis of an open system frequency converter - an asynchronous motor with an indirect estimate of the rotational speed according to the model reference adaptive system MRAS. A block diagram of the closed system “gyro-adaptive observing device-regulator” is presented, structural and functional schemes of the single-column lift system are developed.
