Robust Distributed Energy Management System Corresponding to PV Generation Forecast Uncertainty

The high penetration of variable sources of renewable power generation, such as photovoltaic systems, will lead to supply-demand imbalances in power systems. Consequently, the management of power usage, storage, and generation on the demand side using accurate scheduling and control will be needed to the supply-demand balance. We propose an optimal operation scheduling model and a time-series operating simulation model to evaluate the economic impacts of forecast uncertainty and analyze the robust and effective operation method by considering forecast uncertainty. We found that the influence of prediction error can be mitigated by more than 80% using the proposed robust operation method, thus verifying its effectiveness.
