Study on MU-MIMO Systems in the Perspective of Energy Efficiency with Linear Processing

Multi-User MIMO arrangement necessitate a bigger number of antenna arrays at base station, to aid relatively a larger number of users, with massive improvements in spectral and energy efficiency. Energy efficiency of MU-MIMO systems depend upon data transmission rate and entire power disbursed by the system. In this paper, we have used zero-forced linear processing for downlink and uplink communication to improve the energy efficiency. An improved power consumption model is proposed by considering power consumed for linear processing, amplifier and circuit modules at the user equipment and the stations. This model offers a significant enhancement in the results.
