Arithmetic Operations on Encrypted Data using Fully Homomorphic Encryption

Data outsourcing has become the latest trend among the organizations due to the benefits they offer. Security and privacy of data are the main essentials needed for the widespread adoption of outsourcing to the cloud. Currently used encryption schemes does not allow processing of encrypted data. Homomorphic encryption schemes unveil the possibility of processing the data in encrypted form. But they only support addition and multiplication of bits. The different operations on numbers can be performed by considering them as a string of bits. In this paper, we present the algorithms to perform different arithmetic operations on the encrypted data. Also the practical implementation details of the algorithms and experimental results are shown.
