Growth Of LIS Research In India As Reflected In Scopus During 2010–2014 A Scientometric Analysis

This paper attempts to analyze the growth of research publications in the field of Library & Information Science in India during the period 2010 to 2014. The analysis has been made by taking into account the publication output of India as reflected in Scopus Database. The present study analyses the year wise growth of publications, most productive authors, preferred journals, major areas of research, major productive organizations and highlights India's contribution to the field of Library and information Science Research that is available in Scopus database. Viable attempts has been made to find out year wise research productivity, top ranked journals, prolific authors, prolific organizations having major number of publications, highly preferred subject headings or topics of research, authorship pattern etc.
