Feasibility analysis of submarine detection method Based on the airborne gravity gradient

In recent years, non-acoustic antisubmarine detection methods are being new research hotspots on account of the greatly difficulties of detecting submarines by sonars in the complex ocean environment. Airborne gravity gradient measurement is one type of passive detection, which has a strong anti-interference capacity, and by combining it with other detection methods, and the airborne antisubmarine detection efficiency would increase greatly. Aimed at this problem whether the airborne gravity gradient method can be used in the to detect the submarine, according to the structural features of Ohio-class ballistic missile nuke submarine, a new segmental submarine model which consists of head segment, upper middle segment, lower middle segment and end segment is established, which is more suitable for computing its gravity gradient, and the computing methods of vertical gravity gradients generated by submarine shell and internal quality loss are given respectively, and then the submarine's vertical gravity gradient values detected by gravity gradiometer of different precisions are calculated, the submarine detection effects are analyzed based on aviation antisubmarine.
