Fault estimation and compensation for two-dimensional linear systems with actuator/sensor faults

This paper focuses on the problem of actuator/sensor reconstruction and compensation for two-dimensional linear systems. For a two-dimensional system described by the Fornasini-Marchesini second model, the simultaneous state and faults estimation scheme is developed, and a sufficient condition is presented and proved for the asymptotic stability of the estimator. Based on the estimation of actuator/sensor faults, the faults compensation proposal can be performed by subtracting the actuator faults and sensor faults. Finally, some simulation results are presented to demonstrate the performance of faults estimation and fault compensation.
