Research on Reliability of LED Luminaires in Extreme Natural Environment

This paper selects the extreme natural environment of the Xisha Islands as the experimental environment and selects one LED outdoor lamps as samples, to research and analysis of its use reliability. First, an accelerated model of the reliability of LED lamps under high temperature and high humidity stress was given; after that, the temperature and humidity parameters of the Xisha Islands were studied. Finally, the parameters of a certain type of LED lamps in the Xisha Islands were collected and analyzed, and their life reliability was analyzed. The results show that, under the influence of changing temperature and humidity and other factors such as the salt precipitation and solar radiation, the reliability of LED lamps in extreme natural environments is slightly lower than expected. In the design of LED luminaires, in addition to considering the effect of temperature and humidity on the service life, the effects of salt spray, corrosive gases and other factors must also be taken into consideration, and corresponding protective measures should be taken.
