Magneto-Electronic Hydrogen Gas Sensors

In the race to find clean, renewable and abundant energy alternatives to fossil fuels, the spotlight has been shone on hydrogen (H₂). However, the high flammability of H₂ has so far hindered this revolution globally to a large extent. Robust technologies which address safety and other technical issues related to the storage and usage of H₂ fuel need to be developed. Our group recently investigated a novel magneto-electronic device for application in H₂ gas leak detection, which overcomes many of the issues associated with previously proposed sensor models^[1].
