Performances of Various PV Modules Technologies under Climate Conditions of Rabat in Morocco

The main goal of this article is a comparative analysis of electrical performances of three silicon technologies (mono-Si, multi-Si and a-Si:H) of PV solar modules connected to the grid, in local climate conditions of Rabat during the period from January 1^st, 2015 to August 31^st, 2017. With this scope, the study was based on the assessment of electrical production, productivity, performance ratio, losses due to soiling, yearly incomes, payback period year, quantity of CO₂ avoided, occupied area and weight of modules. The results showed that the mono-Si and multi-Si PV technologies have almost the same energetic, economic and environmental performances, react in an almost identical way to the climatic conditions of Rabat and are more efficient in comparison to the a-Si:H.
