A Virtual Beacon Node Algorithm Based on Pulse Ultra-Wideband

By analyzing the application environment of wireless sensor networks (WSNs), this paper proposes a virtual beacon node positioning algorithm applicable to WSNs under special and complex environments. All the nodes are designed as a whole. There is no need to pay special attention to a particular beacon node. The power dissipation is evenly distributed instead of concentrating on the beacon node, the latter of which might result in network paralysis because of busy communication of the beacon node. To sum up, the virtual beacon node algorithm based on pulse ultra-wideband (UWB), being strongly applicable, has extensive application prospects.
