Miniaturization of Rectangular Microstrip Antenna at WiMAX Band with Slot in Patch and Ground Surface

In the proposed work, a simple I shaped slot is integrated in the ground surface, as well as in the patch of a rectangular microstrip antenna, resonant at WLAN frequency band (i.e. 5.2GHz), which resulted in miniaturization of the antenna to WiMAX frequency band (i.e. 3.5GHz). The miniaturization percentage is calculated to be 54%. A comparative analysis has been presented in terms of return loss, gain and impedance parameters.
